About Heather

Heather is a writer and workshop instructor living in Central Florida. She is currently working on a novel and several short stories, and she is seeking representation for her YA novel, Undoing. Her favorite reading material is literary fiction, YA, and anything with a well-executed twist ending.

Heather has taught college-level English classes and currently captions lectures for students who are Deaf and hard of hearing at the University of Central Florida. She also provides editing and copywriting services as an independent contractor. At writers' conferences, she has spoken on such topics as point of view, character, political fiction, and finding—or making—time to write.

Heather lives with her husband, Jesse, in Lake Mary, and although they have no children or pets, she does have a cactus named Cactniss Evergreen, which she waters faithfully once a week. She has not yet named the bamboo.
